IDO's special fermented tea, 
fermented polygoni root tea has top quality and tastes pleasant.

which uses the top quality polygoni root of China, 
the original country of growing polygoni root.

1. When Polygoni Root first comes in

This is the real polygoni root, not the substitute product Cynanchum wilfordii Hemsley.
Originally polygoni root didn't grow in Korea but it got its name of polygoni root when it was imported from China.
It is to separate substitute product Cynanchum wilfordii Hemsley from real polygoni root.
In IDO, we only use polygoni root and don't use substitute product Cynanchum wilfordii Hemsley.

2.  After fermenting polygoni root

Repeating the steaming and drying process, than applies microorganism, than it goes through scientific and hygienic fermentation process. 
In the fermentation process, it's scent is marvelous, the natural process of microorganism's vitality, temperature and moistures perfect harmony.
Again, it goes through long aging process, which is the procedure to extract hidden deep taste.

3. Fermented polygoni root after aging and far-infrared ray pan firing is done.

Fermented polygoni root tea is made with fermented polygoni root that is re-aged and well pan fired with far-infrared ray. 
The secret of deep taste and scent, just with 1 gram of product.
We put so much hard effort and clean procedures, softer, more mature fermented tea with elegance is produced.

Polygoni root, was named when the legendary elder Mr. Ha ate it 
and his white hair turned into black hair. 
China is the origin of polygoni root, and the Cynanchum wilfordii Hemsley
 was used as substitute in Korea until we receive polygoni.
The name Polygonum multiflorum Thunberg
 is to distinguish domestic polygoni with original when it was first imported.
In before, classification was unclear so all the ingredients were used 
for its shape and appearance.
Now we thoroughly classify the origin using scientific methods.
IDO uses only the ingredients which are clarified its origin thoroughly 
when making the fermented tea.  


Polygoni Root 100% (Korean)

Polygoni root is kind of knotgrass vine plant, tuberous root type.
Among food companies, sometimes they have white polygoni root based products, red polygoni root is different from them. It has redish crust and inside, when you cut it open. On its cross section, it has unique daisy patterns.

Polygoni root has its legend of turning hairs into black. Also known for giving strength to muscle and bones of elders.
Polygoni root is the natural medicinal ingredient, popularly known as the food of strengthening brain, which can replace energy drinks.

When IDO uses polygoni root for the tea, we only uses more than 3 years old polygoni tuberous root, which is bit bitter and hard however with IDO's special fermentation process, it becomes soft and elegant taste fermented tea.  

Ways to Enjoy IDO's Fermented Tea

1. Put 1 gram of tea product in filtered tea pot and brew more than a minute with hot water (80 ~90℃) 300ml (Use the measuring spoon in the package, put 1 small scoop)  
2. Can use coffee maker to brew
3. During summer, you can serve chilled
4. Like water, drink all day through
5. Can be enjoyed by children (no caffeine)
